Thread: Draw Something, Dammit

  1. Dunlap, please join us to make Revolution. DM Revolution.

  2. More like BM Revolution, amirite?

  3. Those Arches pads are pretty slick, but they are very pricey, so I have only seen other people use them.

  4. Worth the money IMO, not having to do tons of prep is invaluable with as little time as I have to work on things.

Here is a work in progress, Monster mash all the way here. It is digital and still needs TONS of tweaking on pretty much everything, but I'm really happy with the texture I'm getting for the knobby, pockmarked Giant skin. I'm thinking about having a pitiful hero type hanging on to the lip ring for dear life to give it a good sense of scale. We'll see.

  5. Awesome, I love your textures you've been showing off. I really need to learn how to manipulate the brushes in Photoshop.

  6. See if you can dig around and find this brush set online.

It was made by some of the Massive Black folks if I remember correctly. It was on an Illustrator's blog but has since been taken down due to bandwidth issues. It can still be found floating around if you dig enough. It is easily the best set of brushes for textures I've ever used, and they aren't so complex that PS starts bogging down while you are laying down strokes. I'd email it to you but even zipped the file is still over gmail's limit.

  7. That red is visceral.

Rapidshare? Send me a link too please!

  9. I'll put it up this weekend and let you guys know. Don't want to screw with rapidshare at work.

  10. Cool!

Gesso'ing a decent sized (old) canvas for a new painting right now.
