Anybody reading this series? It's up to #11, with 12 due out in two weeks. It kind of floundered around for the first year setting stuff up, while Johns used all his real ideas writing Inifinite Crisis.
But the payoff for the first year has been pretty freaking sweet so far. Making Cyborg Superman the Emperor of the Manhunters somehow took two stupid ideas and made them badass. Johns has his creative batteries recharged for One Year Later GL, and Ivan Reis is drawing his brains out:

On a related note, I picked up the DC Showcase Presents: Green Lantern book the other day (500 pages of Green Lantern's first adventures)... Man, Gil Kane was a good artist when it comes to humans but goddamn his alien creations look goofy as fuck. His "menacing space monsters" look like cracked-out high school cartoon doodles.
