They've been nothing but extremely welcoming and pleasant to deal with, but they're super wary of new people because of the huge potential for scalping. Even ended up getting a US Duo locally for $100 because the sound didn't work on CD games. A simple cap replacement fixed it right up.
Anytime I walk into a game store that has Turbo games its the best day ever. Have purposely avoided picking up some of the ultra common games like vigilante and Bravoman to hopefully find them in the wild.

I'm a big sucker for CD versions of old games with arranged soundtracks, cutscenes, dialogue, etc. so I love the system. R-Type CD, Strider on Arcade CD, RCR with voice acting, etc.
I love the Diesel engine sample at the beginning of stage three in R-Type Complete .

  2. Now I'm sad I sold my Duo...

The smart man would get a duo. More reliable, easier to find lasers, built in super system card, etc.

I have two briefcases and sold my Duo.

  4. I found this thanks to a link on the old Wolfgames page.

I've never heard of them before, but there are TONS of PC Engine reviews. Each review has a bunch of screen shots and good info. I'd compare it favorably to Hardcore Gaming 101. I know what I'll be reading in between school work now...

Yeah, it's a pretty good site.

I think it was the Riot Zone review that made a comment like "beat 'em ups have no strategy and I don't believe anyone that says they do." I was like huh, that's weird.

  6. I think a former TNL poster worked on the site:

I love that site. I also love that the current update is nothing but shitty strip mahjong games.

Some of the features are pretty interesting.
