Wow.
Sucks for Jersey.
However, if you pretend it's just a masive zombie invasion, then it's pretty cool.
Wow this thread is total shit.
Anyway, I cant believe Corzine is doing this. On one hand it is mind-bogglingly dumb - who is gonna support the guy for shutting down the gubment because the Legislature won't RAISE TAXES? On the other hand I admire the gonads it takes to do this because he feels it has to be done to fix the budget.
I approve of his actions. I dont approve of simply raising the most regressive taxes instead of reining in spending.
Your piece of shit state (and city, if you live in NYC) depends heavily on NJ labor. Don't front.Did you guys miss the fact that it is NEW JERSEY that is being shut down? I say good call.... Time to fold that state.

Completely, really. I've been away lying on an island beach for the last week, and then I got into a big car accident coming home and this is like the first thing I read after getting home and I didn't really have any idea what was going on. I though it was related to the flood or something. I'm out of it.Originally Posted by Yoshi

Fuck NJ.
Yes, no one of any social standing who works in NYC actually lives in the suburbs of said city. It's only illegal immigrants who want to live in houses with yards instead of apartments the size of refrigerators.Originally Posted by Revoltor

After reading some facts on this whole issue. Corzine is still a dumbass that I am glad I didn't vote for. Sure he wants to avoid raising property taxes, but at the same time is really not going to stop spending. In fact he wants to increase it, typical. And its not a Repub vs. Demo fight. In fact its a Demo vs Demo fight. The hardline Democrats want Corzine to increase the property tax, and the New Blood(newly elected) Democrats want to increase in sales tax, while the Republicans want a reduction in spending. If you do the first tow choices your really not reducing the deficit, but if you increase the sales tax and reduce spending ... hey that would work. So, this fight is again between the democrats. Who knows how long this will go on.
