The next installment in the Deus Ex RPG/action franchise is under development at Eidos' new Montreal studio, and its official title is Deus Ex 3, according to the company's web site.
In May, IGN reported that Eidos was working on the game, but details were - and remain - scarce. A teaser trailer is up at the Eidos site, and the company has several open positions listed.
IGN partner site Voodoo Extreme quotes Eidos managing director of studios Rob Murphy as saying, "Deus Ex is one of our finest franchises, often cited as one of the best PC games of all time. By developing this game at our new cutting-edge Montreal studio we have the opportunity to really push the boundaries of expectation for Deus Ex 3."
Deus Ex is an action RPG series created by Warren Spector and Ion Storm and was originally released by Eidos in 2000. A sequel, Deus Ex: Invisible War, was released in 2003, but since then the series has been dormant. Ion Storm shut its doors in 2005.
