Heck yea, I totally agree with you. Getting hit in the head sucks...

Thats why stuff like pankration is so much fun, full strikes and submissions, but only striking to the body.

Problem is, if you aren't training to get hit in the head, you aren't really fighting. Which is only part of it, if you aren't training to get hit in the head, that also means you aren't training to HIT in others in the head.

Which really is only part of a bigger problem, "point sparring" like they do in those clips is 99% removed from a real fight. Not hitting in the head and point fighting go hand in hand. Being a "badass" point fighter and the self inflated feeling of badassness you get from it instills a horribly false sense of confidence that has got many people hurt.

Not that I care though... because did you see those guys hair cuts on the show?!
