Funny stuff. I hated talking to that merchant so I killed him but I started a new game over after I found out I wouldn't be able to buy stuff for the rest of the game.

Not true. I killed one of the guys in the castle but was able to buy stuff later.

Maybe they changed that on the PS2 game?
