so over at IGN they're saying the Joker is based mostly on the Jokers first appearance in Batman #1 and it's just by chance. Also Anthony Michael Hall and Eric Roberts are in this!

I saw a theater-cam video of the trailer (attached to I Am Legend and officially appearing online next week).. I wasn't exactly floored by the Joker (without smiling or grinning, he just looks like The Crow), but I can accept this version now that I saw him in motion. His voice matches what I always imagined he sounded like when I read the comics.. I think there's potential for better voice acting than what Nicholson and Hamill accomplished.
The biggest surprise for me is Heath Ledger.. he's completely transformed. I don't recognize him at all.

I thought what the trailer showed of Joker was awesome. Not over the top hilarious but borderline nutjob. That's how I always saw him as.
