I think the HyperScan looks pretty cool. Games come on CD and you can get booster packs to upgrade your characters in the games? I feel young again! I don't think it will catch on, though, because Mattel probably won't spend any money to market it. They have to market it heavily to kids and it might succeed. Or, at least, perform moderately. Maybe.

You'd be surprised. This thing was announced yesterday, and today at the gym CNBC was on one of the TV's and there was a segment about this thing. I didn't get to hear what they were saying, but if it being on CNBC the day after it is announced is any indication, they definitely will be marketing this thing like mad.

When i was a kid, i didn't care if it was Gobots or Transformers or TEH ROBOT TAHT CHANGES! I just loved robots, especially the transforming ones.
Maybe this will be the thing the kids play at Gramma's. And you know what? I remember kids in Target going nuts over those stupid Mega Man NT card fighters. Wasn't that also Mattel? I don't think it sold that well, but that's only because the fun only lasted a few minutes. Combining video games and cards could be just the thing 5-8 year old really want.
