  1. That definition is of course overly broad, but only someone as retarded as Yoshi could think the TdF is not a sport. GG.

  2. I would say it's a sport, it takes a lot more effort than Golf or Soccer for christ's sake.

  3. Golf takes a lot of effort to be good at it. It's one of the hardests sports (yes, sport) to do.

  4. I play golf, (you must not have taken in my thread) I shot high 80's, it is NOTHING like cycling.

And where are high 80's going to get you? No where.

No point in arguing the physical demands of golf vs cycling, they're worlds apart.

  6. High 80's would get your lunch money every week, and everybody you know.

I shoot these high 80's at Firestone CC, home of the NEC.

I'll go to your "home course" and beat you by 20 strokes.

    My point?

Golf is easy to play well, none of us are going to go out to France and even complete the second stage.

On a pro's"bad day" I could play againt a mid level player in golf and not be embarassed.

That post just exceeded my ability to be an idiot, you are the champ!

  9. So long as you recognize.

  10. Obviously it depends on the person, majority of people will never play golf well. Give a person a club and watch them miss and shank the ball till the days cows come home. People can be good at golf, baseball, basketball, or whatever. But we're talking about professional level here. How could anyone compare something like the fucking TdF, the biggest cycling event in the world and playing some friends for $50 or just being able to shoot high 80's? How many pro level cuts is a person going to make doing high 80's? More importantly, what golfer shooting that is going to do exceptionaly well and be remembered for any length of time? How many people can take the professional stress and pressure? Golf is a mind fuck out there.

My point is that those who play pro golf are brilliant athletes who train, practice and compete on an extreme level, just like any other sport. It's just retarded for anyone to say golf isn't a sport.

And I don't mean to sound like I'm saying you suck with hitting high 80's. That's damn good, but the pros are different level. There are obviously different levels to every sport.

I don't get what your saying here. Why mention a pro's "bad day" when you'd be playing against a "mid level player"?
