Played a mexi J-bass through a JCM 800 into a SWR 6x10 last night. It sounded great. Once Pa gets that Orange up and running I think we're going to try running it through a 15 Yd with the JCM.
I got both my Mosrite guitar and bass fixed up today. Three hours of work, cost me $140. My guy's rate is $80 an hour. I'm not sure how that worked out, but I don't care.
Welp, I'm at over 70 preamp tubes that have tested "good" on the Heathkit. So between them, the passive components and shit plus the bonus items I am totally ahead on this one. Have a look at these bonus items. There was a drawer that had five .32 bullets in it and this one plastic tube had four maxi-pads and a tweakpipe!
Lots of 12at,au,ax7, several ay and az's one 12bh7 and one 5751. I also got a few 5y3's and a couple of shady looking power tubes. I'm like 15% of the way done.
First of all what in the fuck happened to cheeks' post that was in between my last two.
Also arjue, that's the next project after I fix the big Orange. I'm going to build myself a Soldano Supercharger GTO on their board with their parts at their place. Who knows what happens after that?
I want to sell my AD30HTC and get the "new" single channel amp that Orange just put out.
Or maybe find one of the Custom Shop AD30s from 2004ish.
I mean, I really want the Girl Name model they're putting out now, but they're only making 40 of them. So it'll be mostly impossible, and shockingly expensive.
