Plug it in and find out! Roll the bones.

  2. I'd rather not!

  3. I fucking swear this information is not on the internet.

There are 2 speaker jacks on the back of the Bass Terror and an impedance switch for 4ohms or 8ohms.

The Bass Terror has as tube preamp and a solid state power amp - it is 500 watts RMS.

Is there a way I can plug both cabs in without damaging anything?
what are the individual speakers rated at?

Ideally, you can probably rewire the 8x8 for 16 ohms and then put it in parallel with the 2x15 to create one 8 ohm load to run your amp into.

Your speakers on the 8x8 being rated for the change in set up is another story.

  5. Is there a way to do it without rewiring?

  6. I'm not sure what the speakers are on the 8x8 - it'll be here tomorrow. The head came today.

    sometimes!

it is possible to blow mosfets (the output devices). Ideally the amp would be designed to put up with it. But, you know, sometimes companies are lazy. And the amp may never work right again if you blow them. Mosfets work best when matched (for most amp applications) and there is a good chance who ever fixes it isn't going to buy 50 mosfets and put the best match in your amp.

your two options without rewiring are 20 ohms and 5.33 ohms

each speaker in 2x15 would see 80 something watts and 8x8 cab would see about 333.33 watts of power if you wired them in parallel (creating the 5.33 ohm load)

can the 8x8 cab take 333.33 watts of power?

  9. I'll have to see its power handling when it comes tomorrow.

If it can take it, I would be able to run it series on the 4ohm setting, correct?
    Boo, Hiss.

probably. It might slowly damage the amp if you are using it for guitar. Maybe quicker for bass. 5.3 should be close enough that you can get away with it for a while

I take no responsibility for you gery rigging your shit, btw.
