I was jamming with a friend of mine, and he decided to be funny and crank the shit out of his AC30, so I did the same and completely drowned him out with my mini mark + schroeder 1210. This thing is so ridiculously loud for its size and weight and it sounds awesome. You guys should really check these brands out if you haven't. I'm thinking about getting a schroeder 4x12 for my big rig.
Every time I think about the possibilities of a loop pedal I get excited. But then I get afraid I would try to use it too much and all songs will then suck. Can't really think of a song we came up with that it is necessary.
I keep thinking that a looper would be perfect for setting up the kind of seamless, Reichy, in and out of phase drone type things I keep imagining for background for my solo stuff, but I have yet to really experiment with them.
Absolutely. You should try one. I couldn't be less interested in an amplifier because I go dark and dirty just like my women. But you do alot of that cleaner type of classically punky sounding stuff and an AC30 would certainly open up new vistas of tone. They do a type of bright clean that you just don't get with other types of amps. And jesusgodlord, for 30 watts those motherfuckers are just impossibly LOUD.
If it can sound like the guitar on our zombie army 7" I will give it serious consideration. The Bassman 10 is not a practical gigging amp. It also caught on fire last time I used it.
Way awesome I'd expect. I mean if you're into that sort of thing. I'm sure it'll do that Shoot to Kill rear cheek thruster sound and then also get brighter and more jangly for miles. I've only played a couple regular ones and then that Trainwreck clone was essentially an AC30 modded for much higher gain, but they were all what seemed impossibly bright. Brian May was an AC30 guy no?
