I would like to make a pre-order if possible!
Mojo parts are only cool if they're free or at the very least considerably cheaper than modern (ie: better usually) parts. That's how I feel about it. And if you're making a point of 'going vintage' it would be awesomest if the enclosure was also vintagey.
And check THIS out!
My pedal company is going to be called Black Hand Analog. My prototype for this fuzz I designed is fucking sweet enough that I will be using it in conjunction with a Bassman 135 instead of the SLO. Practicing with it was a great sound. Perhaps the best we've ever sounded. I've been getting it around town and I've got two guitar shops that want to be dealers and several individual preorders. And today, out of the blue, Tad sent me a message. He wants me to bring it over and let him put it through its paces. He also offered up his studio for recording the sound clips. It's pretty exciting since I don't really know him and would've more easily imagined a scenario where I'd be seeking his expertise rather than him seeking my pedal. Here be the proto guts:

I've officially retired the Double Death Bastard. It sits in a place of honour, atop the highest stack of gear in my practice spot.
I'm bummed.![]()
I read that as "vint-a-gay" the first time.
Most of the parts are free, or costs just as much, or are kind of worth the extra cost. I got a military spec volume pot. I figured if you're going to only have one control, you want something that will last. And I kind of hate alpha pots. Some of the ones floating around are made of a soft metal and the threads will strip very easy.
I decided to go with sprague and Vishay caps. I looked into vintage style oil caps for all of 20 minutes. I can buy all new caps for what 1 vintage style oil cap will cost me.
Power Transformer, Rectifier tube, preamp and power amp tubes are all out of a Stuart Tank radio. Output transformer is new and made in Detroit.
Haven't decided on the resistors. Carbon combs look cooler than new stuff. But the prices are like 1-3 $ for each CC resistor, vs. .0015 for new metal film resistors.
cool beans. Post them sound files when you can. Or email them to us if you don't want them on the board
I hardly look at fb so i pm i guess. If you could give me a quote on the woolly mammoth too that would be ace.
I am having a fucking hard time finding a buyer for this AD30tc combo.
What a drag! Modern Orange is losing respect fast. A great way to shart up a good name is to use it on products built Chinese throwaway style.
I am also selling a bunch of stuff. It is also slow going.
