Premium cables are a bunch of nonsense. It doesn't matter what the connectors are in the cable since everything in the amp is made of the cheapest things they could find.

Boo, Hiss.
What are free cables? Are they nonsense too?
I prefer stolen cables from various shows. Usually in a '98-'00 vintage.

But you'd turn down a monster cable I'm sure. To build your lowbrow cred.
I can not completely agree with this. Amps have a metal chassis that shields the circuit from outside interference.
A guitar cord needs to be at least nice enough to block some of that too.
oh, and then are the magical things that happen when the distance between components becomes great.
I have a Monster Cable, but I haven't used it in a couple of years because it started getting all crackly and losing the signal after a few weeks of use in addition to messing up the insides of the instrument jack on one of my basses by somehow "stretching it out" to the point that thinner cables no longer work properly when connected.

are we talking about a bass input jack, or your anus?
There's a difference?
