Has anyone played through one of these? http://www.guitarcenter.com/Fender-V...69-i1371396.gc
I would really like to get rid of my Fender Twin Reverb and get a nice little 5 watt tube amp.
I'd start by looking for Montgomery Ward catalogs dated pre 1975 which is when Harmony went out of business. I bet there's a pdf or something somewhere.

I've never seen one but "versatile digital voicing and effects" sounds hecka corny.
I'd say find a fiver without that junk and use pedals if you need effects. But we all know I'm just a guitar nub so you may not want to listen to me.
One of the guitarists I jam with has a vintage champ which he has used a couple of times with a full band at practice. I was amazed that it held up to the beating it took on those occasions and managed to sound decent to boot. It sounds real good when used solo or when drums are not involved and it doesn't have to be cranked.
In other new, I picked up an older Ampeg SVT-III amp and and Ibanez 15" cab a couple weeks ago. Now I would like to pick up a decent 2x10 cab to compliment the 15.

The fact that it's in there and doesn't need to be definitely detracts imo
Does anyone know a good way to check the manufacture date of an Ampeg amp?
I found this site, http://users.aol.com/bluemuse/dating.html but I can't make sense of it. The amp was manufactured in St. Louis Missouri which along with the 10 digit serial number according to this site makes it post 1984.
I can build fender champs
The Grza just built a Fender Tweed Deluxe yesterday. He's bringing it over tomorrow and I am fucking stoked to see it. Plus he rebuilt my buddy's original Fuzzface too. I am also stoked to see that.
