It's one of the best non-private business schools, and probably cheaper than everythign else on that list.

USNews has it ranked lower than everywhere else, though, most are in the 20s.

Speaking of the Smith school; I apply for undergrad entry in December. (need to be a junior)

This is 100% correct. I am damn good at what I do, but had I not gotten an "in" then I would not be working where I am today. We, for the most part, only hire upon recommendations from existing employees or other industry folk. Also, budgets for productions are shrinking bigtime, and the digital age has made alot of the tech that we work with much more readily available than ever before. The only other way is to do unpaid interships and work your way up, but even those can be hard to come by, and I also understand that some people can't do unpaid internships because they *gasp* have bills to pay. The road you have taken is a long and hard one. Good luck out there, you'll need it.

... for in-state peeps, which you are not.

But anyway, everyone lies about the quality of their school. It's a truism. Honestly I dont think rankings are relevant in undergrad, every school teaches the same shit.

If I had to do it all over again I would've just went to Rutgers, seriously.

It's 12k cheaper out of state than everyone else I wanted to go.

  5. Yea, not too surprising, colleges have been raping out of state kids to patch up their deficit problems.

Well, since you're out of state, you could have chosen any of these out-of-state public schools that are higher:

    7. Berkely
    10. UCLA (visit the Diff-chan Library)
    11. Michigan
    13. Virginia
    18. Texas
    20. UNC
    21. Purdue (visit the Yoshi Center for Diversity )
    22. Ohio State
    23. Indiana
    23. Michigan State
    23. Minnesota
    28. Illiniois
    29. USC
    30. Washington
    31. Texas A&M
    31. Wisconsin
    34. Arizona State
    34. Georgia Tech

19th is close to the best I suppose.

And guess what the closest school to me is out of all those? Maryland.

I don't regret picking Maryland for a second, so you can quit trying to rag on my school now, kthxbye.

  8. Hey, my school is free!

    Cooper Union 4 life

But yeah, congrats in getting into NYU. I'll be going to school 3 blocks away, we can go to starbucks together or something.
