Thread: Touch! Bomberman Land DS

  1. Touch! Bomberman Land DS

So, Touch! Bomberman Land has been released in Japan already and, if this story is to be believed it's coming to America in November by way of Atlus! The game has a single player mode that is mainly all mini-game based and a multiplayer mode which is strickly classic Bomberman! Even better is that multiplayer mode is up to 8 players off line and 4 players over wifi connection!
Yeah, the Bomberman fanboy in me is all giddy.

Anyone heard any solid confirmation of this coming to America being true?

How can this NOT come to the US? It's a fucking guaranteed day one purchase for like every DS owner ever.
"Chuy, you're going to have a magical life. Because no matter where you go, it's always going to be better than Tucson."

  3. It was announced for a while and I figured all US publishers always disappoint me. :-P
I'm happy to see that Nintendo platforms and Xbox Live Arcade still put out F-Chan games I dig the most. Here's hoping Atlus makes more than six copies of this to sell.

  4. Seriously. The one thing we can always count on is a low print run on an Atlus game.

It's like they're allergic to money.

  5. Geen, is there a link somewhere which shows all of the gamerpics in the Bomberman pack? I checked Xbox.com yesterday, and it wasn't there.

  6. IGNDS confirmed this also.

Can't wait. Folks who have imported it say the wifi play is mostly solid except apparently you can't turn off CPU guys when online (if the peeps in the Gamefaqs board who own it are to be believed anyways and aren't just being incompetent with the menus)

Anyways, we have sorely needed an online Bomberman since BMan Online for Dreamcast. Worst. Servers. Ever.

  7. I wasted 30 bucks on the first DS bomber man, not buying this until I see it on clearence.

I bought the first one at about $20 and the multiplayer mode has been worth it, if not more. Four player Bomberman is always awesome, and the one seven player game I played was a thrill. My only gripe with that Bomberman is that you start off way too slow, but giving everyone a skate or two to start off with clears that right up.

This new Bomberman has skyrocketed to near the top of my "OMG CAN'T WAIT!!" list.

I downloaded all three packs because I wanted to see them, but no - I wasn't able to find a preview of them when I looked before I bought them.

Here's a run down of what is in each pack (Maybe I'll make a preview of each one in a few minutes...):
Picture Pack 1 - New Act Zero Bomberman Male and Female head shots in different color variations. I believe there are 8 of each sex.

Picture Pack 2 - Retro NES looking Bomberman sprite walking towards the right in eight color variations.

Picture Pack 3 - Circles, I believe, with Japanese kanji(?) on them. I have no idea what any of them say.

Only picture pack 2 was worth it to me as I do like my new icon, but they are overall pretty disappointing.
