    Hah, I think a good bit of them do. I'm pretty sure you can go into the Marines and not be able to speak English (or possibly any military service) and that's not anything new (as in, has nothing to do with Iraq or Afghanistan). A lot of guys learn to speak English in boot-camp.

    Despite the fact I went into the Marines out of highschool I never had a recruiter contact me once until I went to them. I very occassionally would get a little post-card from the Navy or something but other then that and my own contact with them, I was never contacted.

    One of my best friends went to boot camp not knowing how to speak English (this was 12 years ago). She learned there by simply watching what everyone else did.
