    If games over here weren't so goddamn expensive then things would be better.

    FFIII cost me 5300 yen. So around 50 bucks... for a freaking DS game.

    If "jump-starting" the market was as simple as lowering the price then they would've lowered the price.

    Of course it's possible every company is just retarded and keeps the price high because of inertia, but considering they move lots of units at lower US prices I'd say that's unlikely.

    My whole point was that Wada's going on about how the problem is due to lack of IT people or standards, while turning a completely blind eye to the quality of products that he puts out and the prices he charges for them.

    Naturally it isn't one single element that's causing the drought.

    Square can eat a dick if that's true. I won't be buying it.

    This has to be some sort of fucking joke. While I can see an RPG like FF XIII going for a larger price, that's almost $110. While I care little for RPGs, I hope other games aren't going to be close to this range (i.e. $70-90).

    Neo-Geo AES 2, anyone? PS3. A system that will surely have its adherents, but may fail to gain mass market acceptance due to obscene prices. $600 to get the system itself is too much, and honestly I'm hoping the PS3 catches 3DO syndrome at first until it's lowered to something more sane. I could bear paying $400 for it.

    Finished in 2021: 8 games (PC: 4, PS4: 2, PS3: 1, X1: 1)
