I just saw this on Xbox-scene. That's some bullshit right there.
So what, do they just have a large file with each update? Or do they connect it to live and do each game one by one?
Can't you get a free backwards-compatibility disc from microsoft.com?
Circuit City figured out how to run Orta on the 360? kewl
Yeah, but you have to go through the hassle of sticking it in the drive, running the software, etc. CC takes all the hassle out of it.
Seriously, isn't CC the company that wanted you to pay $5 a pop to watch $20 DVDs (DiVX)?
No gnus is good gnus.
Kinda funny, but enough to warrant its own thread? Debatable.
WTF?
This idea is genius; it's like me charging $30/hr for making a backup and scanning for adware/viruses on my sisters' friends computers. Taking advantage of the monumentally retarded for profit is A-OK in my book.
This is a brilliant scam on CC's part. It might not be ethical, but it's pure profit for them, and they're only risking alienating people who wouldn't use the service.
