Thread: Mark Z. Danielewski's Only Revolutions

  1. Mark Z. Danielewski's Only Revolutions

Yep, the guy who wrote The House of Leaves is back with another book, Only Revolutions. Makes me wish I finished that one. Yuk-yuk.
    He's also Poe's brother.

It seems to be about two eternal teenagers trying to outrace time.
Danielewski was also kind enough to totally confuese the fuck out of everyone with this crazy-ass webpage: http://www.onlyrevolutions.com/

    Anyone a fan?

I did, and it made me wish I had never started.

  4. I'm actually reading through House of Leaves right now. I trying to figure out whether or not it is actually a brilliant experiment, or pretentious cluster fuck.

  5. I really really liked House of Leaves, I don't get the hate.

    Me neither.

zomg a positive response. Thanks, Tracer!

  7. Shit, I didn't see this until now. I'm a big fan of the original (and I was getting hate in another thread for it). I get the hate, because any time someone tries something different and gains some underground cred for it, it's immediately discarded as useless scenester garbage, because the cool-police deem the fans morons.

Case in point: Slipknot. Awesome band, terrible fans.
    Boo, Hiss.

  8. Re: Slipknot. The fans are precisely as shitty as the band is. Shame on you.
