    Yeah but that usually involves selling albums and discs, and I assume a substantial amount of MySpace users prefer buying online and on a per song basis.

    The major downside I can forsee is that if ANY band can sell their songs to a mass audience, that's less incentive for them to put sample songs on their website and might also give a sucker punch to the mp3 blogs.
