Thread: Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology

  1. Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology

How's that for an f-channy title?

Anyway, new 3D Tales spinoff for PSP. Apparently this is Tales' take on the Diablo model of RPGs (ie, dungeon crawler with a main hub town, lots of quests, phat lewt, etc). Has cameos from a lot of Tales series characters, too.

    Looks pretty awesome imo.

Buy Yakuza and Oblivion. Help yourself, help TNL.

  2. How does this look like Diablo? Plus it looks like dogshit

only in the first post. it doesn't say it LOOKS like diablo.

"take" on the Diablo model of RPGs (ie, dungeon crawler with a main hub town, lots of quests, phat lewt, etc)

  4. Well that describes like almost every RPG

If you've never played an RPG that isn't Diablo, maybe.

    Confirmed

  8. "If you've never played an RPG that isn't Diablo, maybe."

So you're telling me that most RPGs don't have "the" town or "the set" of towns (as in 2), have quests that take place in "dungeons" or "ancillary areas" and put you on a treadmill to get better items throughout the game (and the enemies get better, negating a lot of the extra power)?

  9. You don't know the subtle differences between a dungeon crawler and other RPGs do you?

Saying Diablo is just like every other RPG is just stupid.
