Check the Options settings in the User CP. It's possible that the thread subscription option is set so that you automatically subscribe without checking any boxes.

i've noticed the past couple times i've gone into my cp, i've been subscribed to several different threads each time even though i'm not subscribing to any. is this a glitch of the new board?

default thread subscription mode is set to "do not subscribe".
i don't think it should have anything to do with it but i'm using the IE7 rc1.
Not sure, then. This is the first I heard of this problem.
Speaking of problems with subscribing. When I first started to post heren reqularly I clicked the "send an email for updates to subscribed thread". So, as you can imagine my inbox per day(yes I clean it out) is full. I recently unchecked that box and said "Do Not send". Well, its still sending me updates. Is this a problem on my end?
I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.
Your profile in the admin control panel says you are automatically subscribed with no e-mail notification. I'll change it to "Do not subscribe."
