Thread: Steve Irwin Dies Exactly Like You'd Expect

  1. They have lived with tigers and shit for decades. You think they haven't had any contact with them once they get off the stage? Not to mention the big ass sanctuary they have for their tigers. You can't do what they did by not knowing the animals.

Getting killed by a stingray is a random act equivolent to a car accident or getting hit by lightning. Nobody saw it coming.

  3. Found this quote posted somewhere:
Irwin once insisted, "My number one rule is to keep that camera rolling. Even if it's shaky or slightly out of focus, I don't give a rip. "Even if a big old alligator is chewing me up I want to go down and go, 'Crikey!' just before I die. That would be the ultimate for me."

    What a badass.

  4. I really hope his last word was "Crikey"

Maybe it was "Blubb-blubb", which would be "Crikey!" if it was said underwater.

  6. He pulled the barb out of his chest before he went. You can't be more badass than that.

The manager of "Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin has denounced as "absolute rubbish" reports that Irwin pulled a stingray's barb out of his chest before lapsing into unconsciousness and dying. John Stainton told CNN that the reports, which quoted him, were based on "rumors." Nevertheless, he acknowledged that the attack, which occurred in the water at Batt Reef, off the Australian coast north of Cairns, was caught on camera. Stainton further denied reports that he had watched the tape, saying he couldn't bear to do so. The tape is currently in the hands of Australian authorities.

    Time for a change

  9. Steve Irwin was a real man, fuck all the haters.

  10. No, god damn it. The denial to the rumor is to cover up the truth. Didn't you hear it? "Crikey! I got to pull this fucking bahb out of mah chest!", clear as day... I thought the television was on, but no, it was't. It's never on. And then, a few moments later, once more, "Ah! CRIKEY, that huht!" It was a little muffled that last time.
