That's exactly what I thought when I clicked the link. Those are apparently their eggs. Creepersons to the max.

    Affirmative. RIP Steve Irwin.

  3. R.I.P. Croc Hunter.

What a horrible (and unexpected) way to go. I couldn't believe I was seeing this come up on CNN today. At first I thought it was a crocodile that did it until they said a stingray had gotten him in the chest.

The barbs can be pretty nasty even if they don't hit around the heart. Here, Gulf Coast fisherman Jerry LaBella's friend Leroy Lee stepped on a stingray and his foot was impaled while the two were wadefishing. This hole was about dime-size, so I could imagine a similar hole in Steve Irwin's heart being the cause of death rather than the venom. Barbs can also puncture a boat's wood planks.

  4. I just want to say two things.

    1) This is sad. I used to really dig that show. R.I.P.

    2) The thread is so damn misleading, NO he did NOT die like I'd have expected him to.

"All creatures will DIE, and all things will be BROKEN: That is the law of the SAMURAI."

You didn't expect him to die from some animal that he pissed off?

I did that too. It was awesome.

  7. Aww I kinda feel bad the guy died. He always seemed like the nicest person when he was on talk shows. Sucks for his family. Especially for his kids who are so young.

I think most everyone expected him to get killed by some pissed off alligator.

  9. Poor guy, but he had it coming with that line of work. I just gave up on him when he showed his baby in front of a bunch of crocs, or some kind of reptile.

  10. We'll miss ya Steve.
