I had a bottle of it in my hands in the Bahamas, but put it down because even $130 was too much for a bottle of liquor.

Thirdsies doesn't count. The only way it's worth paying that much for a single bottle of scotch is if it comes with Shay Laren or something.

Personally, I like knob Creek best, but the Woodford is excellent as well. I'm going to disagree about Maker's Mark, it's just a cheaper made Knob Creek that's not as good. Another excellent bourbon is Henry McKenna. Also be sure to try Basil Hayden's, not my thing but is very high quality and many swear by it.

last night I tried the Bombay with the lime as was suggested, and while it's a littler easier to take, I still really don't enjoy the taste. I let my dad try some (since he never had) and he thinks it's the best thing he's ever had as just a sipping drink. Right now, it's my day off, so I drank a third of a liter of Bicardi and had a few random Magic Hats, feelin nice. Bout to go swimming cuz it's fucking hot as hell (yeah, 85 or whatever it is is way too hot for me), then I'll be drinking more of the Maker's Mark when I get home. Gave all my pot to my buddy the other night, otherwise I might indulge in some of that. It's weird, I used to smoke at least a dime a day to the face, now I've moved onto drinking a lot more and smoking a lot less. Dunno how good a trade off that is. I want to try a nice wine tomarrow, one that's not gunna set me back $100. Does anyone know a good Pinot for around $25? I've tried a few and some are alright but I want to expand the pallet.

BTW, if anyone still wants to do it, I'd be more than happy to start a thread about a beer/wine/liquor of the week. The idea sounded great but by the time I read about it the thread was already closed.

When I go down to Virginia Beach at the end of July I will most definetly be picking up a bottle of this to try. Never had it, only heard good things though.
