I wouldn't bother with the "media player" type of card, I'd just go ahead and buy a full-fledged flash card or SD adapter. There isn't much of a difference in price, and the flash card would allow you to play roms and emulators.
Downside-I'm sure the Media player would include software to convert video into the resolution that the DS needs to play it. With the flash card, you'd have to do it yourself.
