Football, soccer, hockey, tennis, and track. I had to have a special waiver to do two at a time in the spring and fall, which is ridculous.
My share of dorkiness was math contests and debate, rather than band I guess.
And just to head off any ridiculous " it must have been a small school" bullshit, I went to a senior high (10-12) with ~2,400 students.

I'm sure it was. I wasn't very talented at blowing, so band wouldn't have been a good fit.

Nope. The bulk of society determines who the nerds are- and sports fanatics aren't looked down upon like game/anime nerds.
