Looks like they're gone. I don't care what anyone says, all we're gonna get is probably Guitar Hero from now on. No good can come from this buyout.

  2. Harmonix made Frequency and Amplitude, right? I hope that crew isn't pulled off a sequel to make more shitty MTV Music Generator "games."

  3. RIP Harmonix.

  4. MTV had their name on Guitar Hero 1, right? It's too late to fuck up 2, so this shouldn't hurt much.

  5. Yeah, but Harmonix does a lot more.

They want Harmonix to do interactive shit for their website and stuff, too. This detracts them from making Wavelength, which is the natural procession for the second Frequency sequel.

  6. God. Damit.

Why do all of the good devs have to get absorbed? And here I was hoping for Drum Hero and another sequel to Frequency one day. Oh well.

  7. I'm not convinced that this is a significantly bad thing.

But now you'll be able to drum along to Ashlee Simpson and Justin Timberlake when that happens! Win-win!

It's by far the best thing they ever made, so I'm fine with it.

  10. Yeah, pretty much.

The world really doesn't need another Frequency game.
