maybe i posted a link to this in another megaman thread but the new site is up so here's a link.

they have some gameplay footage. the fights are now on a 3rd person 3d grid thing. when i saw it all i could think of was phantasy star 2. it didn't seem like the character could move forward on the grid...only left and right. dunno how i feel about that. the overhead graphics look just like the old exe series.

the thing i'm looking forward to most with this new series is vs battles against people from all over. i'm so excited!

The fact that nine of them were released over the span of a holiday weekend turned me off from the get-go. I have no interest in trying to catch up when I'm already so far behind, I don't care how good they are.

For the record, Zero, ZX, and Powered Up don't sell nearly the numbers that the EXE series does. The gameplay is actually pretty good/innovative, but the frequent random encounter structure kinda puts a damper on it.

and...yeah. i have no idea if there are 3 versions or if maybe they've changed the element/weakness system to just 3 types or what. i don't really know how having 3 versions would fly in the states.

i'm really seeing this game as kind of a revitalizing of the series. like with the new pokemon game, you'll be able to play with others via wifi. that just opens up all kinds of new experiences and posibilities. maybe i'll finally get to vs match kidnemo and finch...and whoever else wants a piece.
