I read that review, it sounds amazing.
But what's not anecdotal are resale values and quality surveys like JD Power. Both strongly point to Japanese cars being the best made cars in the world for reliability. I know American cars are getting better and Japan may be sliding a tad, but they aren't equal yet.
Lately I've had 335i on the brain. I am trying so hard not to do something so financially stupid as getting one, but it is hard. C&D's #s for the sedan version:
Zero to 60 mph: 4.8 sec
Zero to 100 mph: 11.8 sec
Zero to 140 mph: 26.1 sec
Street start, 5–60 mph: 5.6 sec
Standing ¼-mile: 13.5 sec @ 106 mph
Top speed (governor limited): 145 mph
Braking, 70–0 mph: 157 ft
Roadholding, 300-ft-dia skidpad: 0.89 g
EPA fuel economy, city/highway: 19/28 mpg (C/D est)
Tuners working on a chip already have 350whp with a mild tune. The thing is a beast.

God I love clarkson. He is an ass sometimes, but his writing makes up for it.

And then we get to by far and away the worst thing: the ride. They call it “S line”, and it doesn’t take too long to work out what the S might stand for. Clue: four letters, begins with S, ends in hit. Which is odd because it really isn’t one.
It’s not firm in a controlled way. It’s firm like the matron in a Carry On film. It’s firm to the point where you start to laugh at its complete inability to ride with grace or panache over absolutely anything.
I would love to meet the team who designed it, because I do not believe that anyone who has ever driven “a car” before could possibly have fitted this and thought it might do. Their bosses should certainly dig out their CVs and do some deep background investigation, because they’re either imposters or they’re secretly working for BMW.

So Ford is posting a 3rd quarter loss of like 5 billion so um yeah at this rate they won't be around much longer they'd better be able to turn shit around quick. Sad to see a company be able to have large sales movers like Mustang, Fusion, and the F series still die a painful death (that is if they don't get their shit together fast!).

So the next gen Mustang is going to have both sedan and wagon variants to go with the coupe. It's both funny and pathetically sad.

And yet, they still wont bring us the vastly superior euro focus or the Mondeo.
In other news..Who said America is the only country stuffing huge motors in tiny cars?

It's so far out though.
