just picked up a ticket for the sold out show at face value. Can't wait to go alone and make SUCH an ass of myself by going off for all three bands.Originally Posted by FirstBlood
Yeah, Floor basically switched their drummer/bassist and became Torche. The Floor s/t and Torche s/t pretty much sound like the same band.
I saw them five or six times between 2005 & 2009 and they fucking killed it every time.
But since then Juan (the fucking awesome Mexican guitarist) quit/got kicked out of the band and they're not nearly as good live as they used to be, so you've pretty much missed the boat. They really need the second guitarist live, both for the mind-blowing LOUDNESS of the older songs and for the well-layered newer stuff.
I still kinda want to go see that Coheed tour though, as I wouldn't mind seeing Torche one more time and the new Coheed album is growing on me AND I can't stop listening to the new Circa Survive album either.

Bomb the Music Industry! tomorrow.
Dove's set was the best in that floor reunion show. The S/T set was pretty amazing but Dove's set was insane.
Converge/Coalesce tonight, Black Breath is opening, should be pretty good.
I bought my MOTHERFUCKING SWANS REUNION ticket today.
sigh
So the Coheed & Cambria show aws last night. And it was actually really good. You can see the setlist here. Pretty much half of the set was from the first two albums, so I had a blast.
I think they swapped out A Favor House Atlantic for The Suffering which is a goddamn travesty but whatever. They played the same place the night before so they switched up the setlist a bit.
Also Torche has a second guitarist again! But he's nothing special ... but at least they still sounded much better than the last time I saw them! They closed with Charge of the Brown Recluse and Tarpit Carnivore and the crowd HATED it. It was glorious and I made a point to make as many people around me uncomfortable with my hair as possible.
no favor house atlantic? i'd feel ripped off =\
Also - Finntroll and Moonsorrow were great, played in the small room of this club and it was fairly packed while the big room had the "big band" Nashville Pussy who only drew 12 fans - roflcopter.
IRON FUCKING MAIDEN - JUNE 11th - I can't wait... also dream theater will be opening.
