Boo, Hiss.
I didn't. But I'd like your insight on this. I've seen them a few times, and they seem hit and miss. Sometimes they bore me, and sometimes they slay.
Their prices can kiss my ass right up to the red, though.
Do it. They really are excellent, and the first two albums, at least, have little filler in the cuts.
To boldly go where lots of men have gone before...
Debating on whether to go to this year's Mayhem, or ditch that and go check out Deftones. Both cost about the same, both have their respective pros and cons, but it ends up "Do I want a basket full of silver, or a palmful of gold?".
Just got back to Rochester from seeing Primus in Cleveland. The few songs we saw from openers Dead Kenny G's were cool. Golgol Bordello was alright if you want to feel bad cause you were born white and middle class. Primus has a few hiccups at first, but went on to play an amazing show.
Side note: everyone wants my go kart.
Retards are retarded. I mentioned Black Keys and Gas Light Anthem.
Anyway, I saw Black Keys again last night for a full show. They are outstanding. The mix of blues, rock and pop is such a killer combo. For some reason my friend Steve seems to attract mosh-pits right next to him at every show we go to. Had to help carry some guy who was punching girls and smashing shit out of the club.
It's weird. On the radio his voice was a lot less... punky? I don't know. But I've heard a couple singles and I didn't mind them. But the live show had so much energy. They also made fun of some Montreal fauxhawk band that went on right before them (they were horrible), which the crowd loved.

Their new album is admittedly a lot more "poppy" with sing-along sections in them (Howlin' for You has a big NA NA NA NA chorus in it) and Everlasting Light is much more ballad-induced. But they also have 4 members in the band with a bass and keyboard, now. So the sound has gotten slightly away from the big dirty blues they were known for. I love it, though.

The music ruled too. Very impressed with Gogol Bordello, damn good energy, unfortunately missed Dead Kenny G's, and Les kicked ass like usual.

Yeah that was a good show, too many hippies tho. Also had 5 or 6 rounds of double jack and cokes between myself and Sinista for $26.00 a round, fail.
