Went to see Al Di Meola last night. It was a fantastic place to see a show (nice and small) and the musicians were all amazing. An awesome experience that I think any musician would appreciate.
Pretty Stoked on seeing my friends band Dinosaur Bones (just got signed!) opening for Tokyo Police Club, and Said the Whale in Ottawa.
You can never be one of the dead, because something that has no existence can have no community.

Did he do both an acoustic and electric set? I was contemplating going to see him when he comes to town.
Pretty much, he opened with an acoustic set and about halfway through his second set he went electric. It was an amazing show. He had a synth pickup attached to his classical guitar and during most songs he would have a synth sound quietly playing in unison with his guitar. He would also swell in distortion throughout the songs which is something I've never seen done with a nylon string guitar but it was fantastic. If you have never seen him (shit, even if you have) you really should go, you won't be sorry.
Saw Rabbits and Vaz the other night, that was pretty sweet.
Atmosphere with Blueprint and Grieves
The Fad + We Are The Union, The Forthrights, Brunt Of It
Yeah.
You know, if you want to go, I have two tickets, and I think it was 10 bucks....and my friend I got the ticket for may not be able to go. If he can't go you can just have the ticket.
I'd like to meet the forthrights if you go though.
Anyway it's all the extra stuff added to the album version that makes it so disconcerting. After listening to some piano-only versions of these songs I really get it better.

I'll let you know if I need it. It's sort of hit or miss with smaller bands if they have guest lists or not.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to go, though, so either way I'll probably see you there.
Aight man but if you need it I'll spot you ten bucks.
