Thread: Anyone Seeing Any Shows Soon?

  1. You can come and rock anytime dood, just sayin. I know how quickly your calender fills up.

  2. The Fab Faux were awesome... any Beatles fan should check them out.

  3. NOFX on Friday, October 24th @ Rams Head Live in Baltimore. I haven't really been a big fan of them since Punk in Drublic, but they are getting old and probably won't tour much in the years to come if at all, so I figured I better see them.

I remember going there. As to getting home, it was most definitely a blackout cab ride. Was that the same night you destroyed your ankle coming down the stairs?

  6. YES! but spyder was my main concern.

  7. Going to see Laibach tomorrow @ The Key Club in Hollywood. To say I'm looking forward to it is a major understatement.

  8. Bad Crowd a couple weeks back.

That was easily one of the best shows I've ever been too.

The tour was in support of their album "Volk" (ie. "People"), a collection of national anthems from around the world expanded by the band.

In the studio, a noted singer from each country provided vocals, but live, all of them were done by one woman. She sang in English, Russian, Turkish, Polish, German, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, you name it, and had one of the most utterly hypnotic and beautiful voices I've ever heard. The entire audience was transfixed by her.

Encores were perfect, tight sets of their "hits", which would have been mindblowing on its own, but adding that to the anthems resulted in an unforgettable performance.

There's a live DVD of the Euro tour (same set) out on Mute in case anyone cares.

  10. Going to see My Bloody Valentine tonight. I don't normally wear earplugs to concerts, but tonight, I'm bringing them.
