I'll pick up phoenix 2 to be sure, the others are all wait and see but I have high hopes for hotel dusk.
While I doubt any of these will end up being among the best adventure games ever, it's cool to see the genre on DS. Hopefully, more developers will follow suit.
Here are some ones coming out in 2006 and 2007:
Touch Detective
Developer: BeeWorks
This one's coming out in English this month.
Hotel Dusk: Room 215
Developer: Cing
I enjoyed Cing's Trace Memory so I'm looking forward to this mystery game. Hopefully it will be a bit longer than Trace.
Sinking Island
Developer: White Birds Productions
It's a port of Benoit Sokal's PC game. This screen is a mock up made from the PC game, not an actual screenshot of the DS version.
Hanna Montana
Developer: ?
This will probably be the usual Disney licensed crap but you never know.
Professor Layton and the Mysterious Village
Developer: Level 5
Hopefully this won't get stuck in Japan. I love the classic anime style.
Phoenix Wright: Justice for All
This first DS game was great. I expect this to use the DS' capabilities nicely like the non-GBA ported last chapter of the first one did.
Anyone else looking forward to these or other DS adventure games?

Is Hotel Dusk coming out here at all? I really want to play it.
EB's website has Hotel Dusk listed for Dec 1st. It should still be coming here.
I haven't been watching it too closely, so maybe it doesn't fit, but Contact is on my radar just 'cause it's from Grashopper Manufacture (and I love Killer 7). I really don't know a thing about the game, but that's on purpose.

I'm interested in Contact although from descriptions it sounds more like an RPG.
It's also not gotten a good review yet, if that's worth anything to you.
Hotel Dusk looks great stylistically, but I wasn't much a fan of Trace Memory.
Prof. Layton looks great, and Level 5 has a winning track record, so I'm expecting good things.
Touch Detective looks charming as hell, but reviews have been pretty awful. Can't bother with all the stuff coming out now, but if it's still sitting on shelves during the Spring drought, I may pick it up out of curiosity.
Phoenix Wright: JFA is a definite pickup. Really enjoyed the first (though it is a tad overrated on the whole). That the guy that translated most of Ace Attourney isn't coming back has me kinda worried.
I'd be okay if whoever was responsible for proofreading the last chapter didn't come back. That was pretty miserable.
Hotel Dusk could be awesome. At its most clever, Trace Memory had some good moments, however, there weren't many of them. Most of the puzzles were incredibly easy, and the game was way too short. If they can take care of both of these things, I expect Cing could make an awesome adventure game.
Wilykat told me about Layton the other day and I watched a video about it on YouTube and it wrecked my mind. The art is beautiful, I had trouble believing that it was a new property and not based on some old anime. I can't help but feel that such nice looking art is going to waste on DS, though.![]()
I thought EGM gave Contact a decent review didn't they? I remember them comparing it to Star Tropics which just added to my anticipation.
