SNES Xband Keyboard
Xband was pre-xbox live online gaming for SNES and Genesis. You direct dialed though a modem and played games like SFII, Mario Kart, WeaponLord and Mortal Kombat II-III online with other xbanders.
The keyboard was extremely limited, sold only through xband. I think it was like $40? when it came out. Obviously it eliminated the tedium of fucking up your controller typing messages between matches.
I ran it by the obsessive-compulsive collector nerds @ digitalpress and one guy offered me $100 for it, but I bet it's probably worth much more than that.
