I'd link to think this is premature, or even that I could still stay here and contribute, but neither is true. My life cycle as an active message board poster was running low, and as much as I loved the Music Centre, and to an extent all of SoundOff!, I wouldn't've been able to stay much longer without running into a wall. So I will peacefully leave, knowing most of my time here and at GameGO! was great, and with time the bitter parts will be forgotten and only joy will be remembered. I would like to leave wishing you a bright future. Also if anyone would like to contact me, my e-mail address is in my profile, any coments, questions, farewells, hate mail, etc. is welcome. I think that you're taking this entire matter a bit too personal, but that is your decision. The fact that your moderation abilities have been revoked is no reason to abandon the community and those who enjoy having you here.

Most of my time was either spent moderating , or thinking of ideas/topics for the Music Centre. I'm not leaving because I've had my "moderation abilities revoked", but because since I've had my 'moderation abilities revoked" I have no reason to stay.

he meant that he is not leaving because of any anger or politics involved in getting his mod-status revoked, but rather, that being a mod was one of the few reasons he still posted here.

Oh, I'm fully aware of what he meant, I was just chiding him for his choice of words. He was implying (in wording if not in meaning) that he wasn't leaving because his moderator status was revoked, but he made it clear that his leaving was a direct result of having them revoked, so I decided to make a smart remark.

I have nothing at all against the guy and I wish him no ill (though I can't truthfully say I'll miss him), but as far as I'm concerned, if someone only posts at a message board because he or she happens to be a moderator, then they're posting there for the wrong reasons.

That's all I have to say.

Not exactly, I orginally came to the board for totally different reasons, but they evolved into moderating and reading every post in the Music Centre (yes, I have read every post as of 12:00pm Friday). Maybe I was a bit overzealous, but I never veiwed that as a bad thing, I figured the more you do the better it turns out-- Guess I was the only one.

Well, I can respect Pitch's dedication to trying to make the 'Music Centre' a more active place - however in vain those attempts were. I faced the facts a long time ago - that place is flat out dead simply because it was what it was - a segregated board for topics of discussion that could easily fit into the Sound Off board and have a much higher rate of response. Same goes for Cinemania.

Bahn, does this mean that you're gonna get rid of the two SoundOff off-shoots and just combine the boards into "Sound Off". It'd make sense man - one unified board for all things off discussion non-gaming related. (I'm just talking mainly about Music Center and to some extent Cinemania - not exactly sure of the latter's popularity in the community).

Moving them back? Perhaps - the boards were created based upon the requests of others that found it feasible. The irony is that it created quite a degree of upset for those that didn't.

Thus the statement applies - you can't please everyone. (Can't say I didn't try)

The state of the two sub-boards in Sound Off will be discussed...at the very least, the boards will be re-merged.

As of right now, Pitch does have his mod abilities returned to him exclusively for the Music Centre.

...and with that, I go poof!

Hmm while I agree that the Music Centre and Cinemania are not anywhere near as popular as the gaming boards which is to be expected I'd say they are far from dead. In fact Cinemania and the Music Centre has more posts than the anime board. Also each of the respective boards has a dedicated community or regulars which is nice and I kinda like that it is not as busy as some of the other forums. If the Sound Off included Movies and Music too people would complain about the board being cluttered with Movie and Music which would end up being the case if threads were moved. I know somone would say "Korian quit making those Movie threads nobody cares about" As far as thr Cinemania board it should pick up ever once in awhile when a big Movie opens. I personally like having the Cinemania board beacuse ever since the board was created more Movie discussion opened up,before we would get a thread about Film every now and than but now more threads are created once there was a specific Movie board.

There, that was my defense of the Cinemania board.

Well, I've been spending alot of time in Cinema board, as did Korian, and I wish that more people would stop by there. Maybe its all board inside the board thing, that keeps most of the people from visiting. Maybe both Music and Cinema board, shouls become simular to LevelUp, SoundOff and Anime on the Main menu, so more people will have a access straight into them, without need to go through other boards just ot be able to read them.

Um, no. I've spoken to both Bahn and Nick, and I know what the deal on this situation is. I made this thread so people could contact me if they wanted to, and I'll stay till this thread vanishes so I can reply to comments or answer questions.

I'll basically leave no matter what. How the administration assigns moderation position is beyond me. If by chance I do acquire mine back, as Bahn said before, than I'll check up on the Music Centre, and it will stay at that, basically as it has been for the past few months. Either way I won't be on the computer at all for the next three months or so.
