Horror Short Story Recomendations
We're doing it for films and games, but horror stories (my forte) never really get brought up. Here are a few of my favorites:
Arthur Machen: The Great God Pan- Machen is the most overlooked writer in the genre in my opinion, highly influential to Lovecraft and others (and better). This is my favorite one of his tales, but all of them that I've read are pretty good.
Clive Barker: In the Hills, the Cities, and Rawhead Rex- most of the stories in the Books of Blood are good, these two were my favorites.
HP Lovecraft: The Rats in the Walls- you really can't go wrong with any of Lovecraft's stuff. Be warned though, that this story is particularly racist even for Lovecraft.
What are your picks?
