Actually I've been having problems doing that. I was trying to download and install hdloader advance to disk and when my ps2 tells me to install a ps or ps2 install disk, I pull it out then the screen goes back to the main menu. I'm not sure if it's the way I wrote it to disk or anything, but I'm taking a shot at finding some way to make this work.

What is HDloader?

It's a program used to install and play games on your HD instead of disk. This way everything loads a fuck-ton faster then normal.

I've been having some problems with the newer games like SC3 not showing gallerys and hanging during battle theater with custom/bonus characters.

I was looking into this recently. Am I correct in my impression that you need the PS2 Ethernet adaptor to connect the HD? And what kind of HD are you using, voltz?

Standard sony HD and you do need the adapter to fit it in. I've heard that Seagate has the best record on compatability, but at the moment I'm not looking for a replacement.

Well just don't go western digital, they don't fit. I'm sure there's a list of compatable drives out there that'll point you in the right direction.
