That would be pretty awesome. The only thing I really know about diabetes, despite several members of my family having it, is that you have to take a lot of needles.
Whenever they tell me to get educated about it I punch them in the eye. True story.
http://www.canada.com/nationalpost/n...b5d1bf&k=63970 obviously this is just a start, but certainly could be a impressive first step towards helping a lot of posters here.

If this is real and they found out how to cure ... thank goodness.
Wow. I don't know what to say.
And Andrew ... diabetes is basically theres too much sugar in the body. The body can't break it down fast enough. The pancreas is supposed to do it, but theres something inhibiting the pancreas. Thus the body starts taking from other parts to help the breakdown. Hence why diabetics lose limbs, eyes, etc. Doctors thought it was because your body was attacking itself there by not allowing those cells(coming from the pancreas) from breaking down the sugar.
Type 1 is where the pancreas is overwhelmed and dies. Thus no more insulin at all = shots of insulin.
Type 2(which I have) is where theres just too much sugar. The pancreas is still functioning. I don't need shots, I take medicine in a form of a pill - Glucophage.

I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.
It's Canada. They didn't find anything worthwhile. If they did, they couldn't be Canada anymore.
That's awesome news. My best friend has Type 1, and has an artificial external pancreas. (basically a little box he keeps in his pocket that's connected to his stomach area with a tube and needle.) I hope this works out.![]()
Boo, Hiss.
I used to be a diabetic till I kicked it.
My uncle owned a diabetes research company a few years back and said they were fairly close (few years) to a cure. Then he sold it to the Japanese.
One of Denmarks main exports is insuline... Can't they cure cancer instead?
