Report: 'Supply Glut' for PS3?

A report from online stock tracker NotifyWire has indicated that supply for Sony's PlayStation 3 is currently higher than anticipated, not necessarily because Sony has been shipping more than expected, but because consumers may be put off by the price.

Even though a thinking man can see that the PS3 is $100 cheaper than an equally tricked out X360, I'm glad consummers are voting with their dollars and saying no to having all the extra crap forced on them.

The thinking man also realizes that all the good games you can buy on PS3 are available on 360, except for Resistance. And most people given the choice would take Gears over Resistance.

And as far as them not sitting on shelves, they are definitely sitting on shelves here in the town I live in, and on Sunday every EB I went to in Dallas had at least 1.

How do you figure? The cheapest PS3 is $100 more expensive than the most expensive 360, and doesn't include a headset.

Good, if sales continue to be dismal there should be a price drop when I buy a 20GB one for the onslaught of 2007 awesomeness.
