Finished off Portrait of Ruin yesterday. Really great stuff.
My first game to complete of the year was Rainbow Six: Vegas on realistic. It was a pain in the ass, and there were moments where I wanted to snap the game in half, but I pushed through it all and am now a better man for it.

Did you play on Veteran? I'm on the 10th mission, and I swear it's even harder than CoD2's Veteran.

No, you just can't run and gun anymore, duck behind cover and let your team do some of the work.
You couldn't run and gun in CoD2 on Veteran either. This is substantially harder from what I remember.

They reduced the effectiveness of some guns. What are you using on 10? the MP-40? I suggest a rifle with the two shot kill.
I definitely try to stick to rifles. It's not the guns that make this one harder. It's the level design. There are multiple levels where enemies are in the forest where they can see you, but you can't see them.
