Everything You Need for the PSP...PART II

Noob questions once again.

I have a Slim on OFW 3.90. I've borrowed a pandora battery. I have a 2gb Pro Duo and an 8bg Pro Duo.

I want the latest M33 CFW on this thing.

Halp plz.

I've been googling for the last hour or so, but there are so many different firmware versions, and so many methods that may or may not be out dated, I just really don't know where to start.

Basically - Do I need to make a Magic Memory Stick - that's what actually installs the CFW, right?

I've also read that I can't install the latest M33 straight off the bat - I need to install an older version (3.80?) and the apply the updates in sequence - is this accurate?

LiteMp3 is a full-functioning homebrew music player. The main attraction is less battery consumption than the official player. I haven't really used LiteMp3 that much, but it has other features that the official player lacks. I'd give that program a shot and see if it has what you're looking for.

You need the memory stick that contains the firmware. The battery communicates with the memory stick.

You can get latest CFW at http://dark-alex.org/index_psp.php. This is dark-alex's official homepage.

If using Pandora battery, it downgrades the PSP to 1.50. From there, you install the latest CFW. Just be sure to install the "RELEASE" version and than install any firmware upgrades that is M33-x.

I used this guide to make my memory stick and I had the whole process installed and updated in about 5 minutes.

Awesome.

Now to go find some fun things to put on this bitch!

Make sure you have the folders named correctly on the memory stick. Certain files only work if they are in the correct folder and if the videos are HQ, they are in a different folder name. At least thats what I remember.
