Thread: Everything You Need for the PSP...PART II

Hope you're patient with shipping too as they're from Hong Kong.

  2. So is there a price drop expected for the PSP anytime soon? I'm in once it's under $150.

Dammit, I must have thought that was a given because I've been running custom since they cracked it.

And I still can't play my games without a umd :/

  4. I haven't seen this reported much, but Final Burn Alpha has been ported to homebrew, and it borrows code from the PSP's Neogeo/CPS emulators. The latest build has very poor compatibility, but I tried Donpachi, Dodonpachi, ESP RaDe and Dangun Feveron-- they run full-speed with sound. The latest version of this emu is supposed to run Street Fighter III (only on PSP-2000), but it's pretty slow.

The package has a text file of compatible games, but it's not very reliable. Still, I'd keep a close eye on updates to this program if you're interested in a MC68K/Z80 arcade emulator.

  5. Anyone else pick up a 3000? I picked one up today, after giving my old 1000 to Pops. I must say this thing is light as hell (never touched a 2000), and that screen is a bright mofo.

Can't believe Sony is still trying to push UMD movies though...don't think I'll ever watch that National Treasure 2 thing.

  6. I'll pick one up once it's cracked.

  7. sony needs to make a way that you can rip your games on to UMDs legitly. I really wanna carry my PSP around but dont want to carry around the UMDs (the PS3 XMB and installed/downloaded games have spoiled me)

    HDD equipped PSP plz.

Oh, and incase you didnt know firmware 5.0 psp is out, and has PS store access, no need for a PS3 or PC.

I would be completely happy if every new PSP released as both a UMD and PS Store release on the same day like Sony is going to do with it's first party PSP games in Japan.

When you say you can install games, do you mean BR games? And if it is a BR game is it a full install or just partial? Can you install ps2 or ps1 games? I haven't been keeping up with the news.
