Thread: Everything You Need for the PSP...PART II

  1. You can mod the drive?

    Also, good to hear about LBP, Persona remake, and that Prinny game. I mean...it IS good, right?

  2. Decisions, decisions- get a new PSP 2000, or a 2GB (or larger) memory stick and find a handy LocoRoco 2 download. The 1GB stick I've already got was more than large enough for un-modded purposes, but LR2 alone is bigger than it can hold.

    Also- any good tutorial pages on getting this going? I've found Dark Alex's firmware but LR2 requires the 5.02 upgrade and it looks like Dark Alex's mod is 5.00. I'm a total n00b at this.

  3. I am loving the shit out of LocoRoco 2 right now. I wouldn't say it's a huge leap over the first, but there are a lot of little improvements that really add up. Best $20 I've spent in a while.

  4. That's pretty much exactly it. LocoRoco 2 is the best game I've played in a while, bright and fun with every level having more than its fair share of set pieces. Honestly, I wish this had been a PSN download, because I'd rather spend this much time on a console instead of curled up with a handheld. LR2 isn't on-the-go gaming, it's "sit down and tune out the world for a couple of hours" gaming, and I'd rather do that on a bigger screen.

  5. More fuel to the PSP2 rumors

  6. That sounds awful.

  7. Doesn't sound that bad to me. If there's a second analog nub. I'll probably break down and pick one up.

  8. The new Wii Tenchu is getting ported to PSP this month. I might actually get it now.

    No, what I meant was, I hated all the negatives that come with a disk drive in a portable.
    PSN = knarlockk
    Steam= kevinb150

  10. This sudden revamping of PSP games, and developers (hell, ready at dawn is going to make PSP games again), leads me to believe that DD is coming in a HUGE way to the PSP and PSN, and developers are finding that business model more attractive (harder to pirate, straight profits, no dependence on retail and used market).
