The genny one works well after tweaking the speed settings, the TG16 one is nearly flawless, but the SNES one seems a tad lacking. A great emulator, and very playable, but not perfect. Is there anything else decent worth trying?
CPS1, CPS2 and Neogeo(cart) run almost 100% perfect on every game I've tried so far and I can't recommend them enough.

All the emulators for the major platforms (CPS2, NeoGeo, GBA, 8-bit, PSX) work either perfect or near-perfectly, with the glaring exception of Genesis and SNES. Despite the many updates, Genesis emulation doesn't have a high compatibility rate, and SNES still bogs down at the first sign of Mode 7. It would be nice to see new emulators for those systems built from the ground up. You can't convince me to believe that PSP can't handle SNES/Gen emulation (and PCE-CD while they're at it) perfectly after tackling PSX and GBA without a problem.

I actually tried DGen 1.7 & it has quite a lot of full speed games now.
Shinobi, Cool Spot etc were all at full speed while on 1.6 they had massive slowdown without frameskip.

Still a lot of games run shitty (Sonic) & can't get Contra Hard Crops to work.

Okay, going to work on getting the CPS2 and Neo emulators on here. I got the SNES one to play at full speed after messing with some settings, but the sound sputters every now and then. Same thing with the Genesis one, it skips frames a little more than I would like in Sonic but plays great.

I haven't gotten to looking at PSX and *ahem* backup PSP games, how much space do those normally take up on the Memory Stick?

PSX games doesnt take up much. Less than 50MB depending on game. PSP games are a different story. Depending on game and what is ripped out, you can fit on to 512MB. Newer games with more graphics will require a 1GB and that is probably all you can hold plus homebrew/emulators. If you're looking to hold more than 1 PSP game, its best to get a 2GB or 4GB. If you got the money, have one memory stick for emulators and one for PSP games, PSX and movies/music.

I'll probably buy a new one in the future but I will stick with the 1 gig for now. I may just make a temp file on the PC to swap. I don't intend to have any permanent PSP games on there (not worth the space) but it would be nice to load an ISO if I want to try one out before buying.

if its real news fuck yeah i need to finish mario and luigi

  9. For a sec, I thought this might have been about promising games coming out on the PSP. I should've known better.

Is there any way to do all this stuff with the stock 32MB memory stick? I don't think it'd be a good idea to get a larger one for pure curiosity of homebrew and emulation unless there are really good prices for the sticks now...

There's a large list of games working near-100% accurately, at full speed, with no frameskip.. compare that with the Genesis emulator, that can't run any game at full 60 fps, or reproduce multiscrolling correctly.. and SNES games that are barely playable without frameskip, with or without Mode7 present. GBA emulation is in a lot better shape than SNES and Genesis.. one reason being the main emulator is still being updated.

Mario and Luigi reportedly works fine, btw.
