Thread: Everything You Need for the PSP...PART II

  1. PSP isnt the greatest when it comes to viewing the web. As mentioned, try to eliminate images or any thing that would have big files.

  2. TNL runs mostly fine with everything turned on, it just takes longer to load if you've got all types of shit turned on, and you still run the risk of running out of memory if there are images attached. if you don't mind seeing a bunch of red x's, while a page is loading up you can press the home or select button (to bring up your XMB, then press it again to close it) to kill all images. or, you can click on the "archive" link at the very bottom of every page to bring up a text only version of the forum. if you go that way you can't click on links if someone posts one and it displays threads from new to old. so if anything gets bumped up and you're in archive mode, you won't know it.

  3. Ok I've gone to having a psp with one dead pixel to a psp with two dead pixles. How common are these god damn things?

mine didnt have any and still doesnt have any, i got it at launch. There are pixel unsticker things that sometimes work, look em up.
b_ri on Twitch, Games Beaten in 2020 (3): Pokemon Sword (Sw), Detroit: Becoming Human (PS4), Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice (PS4),

  5. Mine has 1 dead pixel, not very noticeable during gameplay.

The one I had before wasn't, these are. I really dont want to return it again, but maybe I should.

  7. Dead pixels don't usually appear after manufacturing from what I understand. These are likely "stuck" pixels, and can probably be fixed by one of those programs Brian mentioned. I've heard some scary things about those *creating* more stuck pixels, though, so I'd be wary.

dead pixels is when you have a pixel that does not light up. stuck pixel is a pixel that is light up but doesnt change with the rest. Its noticeable in a black background and the pixel can be either white, blue, red or green.

Do a search on the forums for the the first part of this "Everything you need for the PSP". There should be a link on fixing the pixel. There is one that is just .jpgs of different colors to help you find them and there is a .mp4 file that flashes over and over for about 10 mins. It doesnt work all the time.

I went through 3 PSPs during launch before getting one without a dead pixel. My last attempt to swap the PSP almost failed and Best Buy almost had me go to Sony. Fuck that!

  10. Update there is at least five or more stuck pixles, it's going back to CC.
